Jaycee Triangle

Community Development coordinates activities that promote the betterment of the Town of New Fairfield. The Jaycees provide New Fairfield with a group of men and women who bring their time, brain power and enthusiasm to a variety of projects through out the year. What the Jaycees receive in return is the satisfaction of serving the community and the opportunity to grow as individuals.
Over the years the New Fairfield Jaycees have helped organize tremendously successful fund-raisers for a variety of causes at Gateway Candlewood Playhouse. The Special Olympics always get active support of the New Fairfield Jaycees.
The annual One-Pitch Softball Tournament is a chance to offer the Town some great softball action as well recycle proceeds raised into the many worthwhile community projects, events and organizations. At holiday time, the Jaycees do their Santa Calls and the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony outside of New Fairfield Town Hall along with the Community Service Club. And, to keep our Town looking beautiful, we coordinate the Holiday House Decorating Contest.
In our efforts to contribute to the community with an emphasis on youth, the Jaycees sponsor the AquaBears swim team and the Jaycee Basketball League. The Jaycees also sponsor annual high school scholarships and work with other community organizations on the high school graduation party.
To keep the area clean the Jaycees participate in the Adopt-A-Road program and are responsible for the section of Route 37 from the center of Town to the Danbury line.

Management Development coordinates activities within the New Fairfield Jaycees. A few of the annual fundraising activities of the chapter are the Golf Outing, Playhouse Benefit and the One Pitch Softball Tournament. These activities are only the tip of the iceberg of the community-related projects the New Fairfield Jaycees sponsor. Although the community benefits tremendously from the efforts of the New Fairfield Jaycees, what makes the Jaycees is the fun all the members enjoy. Every activity seems effortless due to the laughs and jokes enjoyed by all.
During the year there is a Progressive Dinner, Christmas Party, monthly chapter meetings and other fun gatherings. All of these activities are not complete until a few good jokes and hearty laughs are enjoyed by all.
The bonus with the New Fairfield Jaycees are the people. Many members have different backgrounds, but all share common truths. Each member is supportive of others and willing to help.

Individual Development provides avenues for personal development and achievement, leadership skills and civic interest. Our many fund raising events and sponsorships of youth leagues offer the opportunity to hone organizing, management and communication skills.
Family activities have always been a focus of the chapter. In addition to participating in the 4th of July Parade, Halloween Parade and Christmas Tree lighting, the Jaycee families can be found helping with Special Olympics and the youth athletic leagues. Throughout the year, social events are organized to commemorate achievements, meet new members and of course just to have fun.
Athletic competition helps build camaraderie and promote team spirit. Our softball team always comes ready to play. Or swing an iron in our annual Golf Outing.
