|
Dear Friend,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the New Fairfield Jaycees website. The Jaycees provide infinite opportunities and programs for
developing tommorrow's leaders today, in addition to giving members the freedom for
personal growth. Won't you join us?
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Monahan, Jr.
30th President
New Fairfield Jaycees |
The main objective of the New Fairfield
Jaycees is to provide opportunities for leadership training, promote personal growth
through community service and social activities.

Jaycee President Tom Monahan accepts
proclamation
from New Fairfield First Selectman Patty Gay.
2000 marks the 27th
Anniversary of the New Fairfield Jaycee chapter. The chapter was formed in 1973 by a group
of twenty men and has since evolved to include over 50 active men and women of diverse
backgrounds from local business owners to members of major corporations. This diversity
provides a variety of talents and skills to the organization while maintaining a
commitment to the Jaycee value of community and individual development.

While the New Fairfield Jaycee chapter is an active member of the
state and The U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce organizations, we are known for our local
community emphasis. We sponsor numerous community activities and work closely with two
sports-minded local organizations; N.F.J.C. AquaBears and the N.F.J.C Basketball League.
Some of the activities that we are perhaps best known for include Tree Lighting, Holiday
House Decorating Contest, Santa Calls and the Children's Halloween Parade. |

 |
We take great pride in the town of New Fairfield and
demonstrate this community interest not only through community-minded projects but also
through participation in local events, such as entering floats in the local parades and
participating actively in events sponsored by other local organizations. Not
only have the New Fairfield Jaycees been an extremely sucessful community organization,
but we enjoy numerous social activities including picnics, sports activities, and parties.
We work at serving our community while having a great deal of fun. |
If you are interested in both fun and service to the community, please plan on
attending our monthly meeting, which occurs on the first Thursday of the month at 8:00
p.m. at the Ball
Pond Firehouse on Fairfield Drive.
